Mantis Audiovisual This policy explains what information Mantis Audiovisual (“Mantis”) collects through mantisav.com (the “Site”), why it is collected, and the choices you have. It is short on purpose, because the Site itself collects very little.
The Site uses no advertising or analytics trackers, so there’s no cookie-consent banner. The only personal information collected is what you choose to send through the contact form, plus the standard technical logs every website keeps. It is used to reply to you. It is never sold.
When you submit the contact form, you share what you choose to write: typically your name, work email, optionally a phone number and company, the type of space and timeline, and a short description of your project. Mantis uses this only to respond to your enquiry and to discuss working together. You don’t need to create an account, and nothing more is asked for.
Like most websites, the hosting provider records standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and the date and time. These logs help keep the Site secure and running. They are not used to build a profile of you or to track you across other sites.
When you submit the contact form, the Site also records an approximate location (country, and sometimes region or city) and the network operator your connection uses, derived at the edge network. This helps route and screen enquiries, for example to recognise automated or spam submissions. Your raw IP address is not stored with the enquiry, only a one-way hashed value.
The Site sets no advertising or analytics cookies and embeds no third-party trackers. Because there is no consent-based tracking, you won’t see a cookie banner.
Where data-protection law (such as the GDPR) applies, Mantis relies on these legal bases: your consent, given when you submit the contact form; a legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and keeping the Site secure; and, where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Your information is never sold or shared for advertising. Mantis relies on a small number of service providers who process data on its behalf, under contract and only as needed to run the Site:
Mantis may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Mantis Audiovisual and others.
These service providers may process data in countries outside your own, including outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens and the law requires it, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Enquiries are kept only as long as needed to respond to you and to manage any resulting relationship, after which they are deleted or anonymized. Technical logs are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting.
The Site is static and holds no database or credentials of its own. Enquiries live in the business mailbox, with access restricted to the engineer who answers them. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but Mantis takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information Mantis holds about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to object to or restrict how it is used, and to request a copy in a portable format. You can also withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, use the contact page. If you’re in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
The Site is meant for people aged 18 or older, and Mantis does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent information, please get in touch and it will be deleted.
This policy may be updated from time to time. When it is, the “last updated” date above changes, and significant changes take effect when posted here.
